The Wedding Diaries: Save the Date

After searching long and hard, I decided on MagnetStreet for my Save the Dates magnets.  I really liked the quality of their products and they were reasonably priced.  They often have sales such as 25% off your order.  I also happened to win 150 wedding invitations from them through their Facebook Page!  I was so ecstatic to win something :D  They often run sweepstakes on their page so definitely follow them for updates on them, who knows, you might just get lucky.  It's really nice to get your entire Wedding Stationary through one website, so you'll always know what you're getting and their service.

Magnetstreet offers something called "Just One" where you can completely personalize one magnet (invitation, program, etc) and have it sent to you for Free!  You pay first but you get a credit when you make your full order.  The credit code can also be combined with their promotion codes.  For example, apply the credit code you received with your "Just One" order and a 25% off stationary promo code.

The design we initially picked out was Snapshot Sweetness.  We used our own picture from our Korean Pre-wedding photoshoot.  I planned how I wanted my Save the Dates to look so I brought a chalkboard prop along with me to take this picture.  I personalized the magnet with our colors in mint and pink and updated all the texts.  I liked it when it arrived, but something felt off. So I looked through the designs again and we decided to pick Chalk it up to Love as our final design.  It seemed to match my school theme better.  I also lightened our photo just a bit, and took the plunge and ordered our 75 magnets.

It came in a big blue box with magnet flap.  Inside was our 75 magnets, envelopes, and a booklet about their invitations and ways to personalize them.

I also bought cardstock and cut sizes of 3.25" x 4.75" to use as inserts for the envelope.  I used an box cutter to cut slips on all four corners for the magnet.  This way the magnets will stay in place and not move around inside the envelope.  I personalized them with a stamp of our initials, I & K.

Save the Dates are typically sent 6-8 months in advance.  Since our wedding is on a holiday weekend, I sent them 8 months in advance.  I love the idea of keeping with traditions and hand writing wedding envelopes.  I did not have time to learn and perfect calligraphy so I hired my friend Yuchen to to write the addresses.  So if you are ever looking to have classy handwritten envelopes, consider hiring a calligrapher!  Or buy a kit and teach yourself, I bought this one on amazon: Here.

  1. Oh my! Your save the date invitation looks amazing, with the magnets and all. That way, those invited would easily see that they're invited for the occasion everyday before opening the fridge for breakfast. Hahaha! Anyway, I love reading this wedding diary of yours and thank you for sharing everything. Best wishes to the both of you!

  2. The beautiful setting pretty much took care of the event. Not to mention the fact that these guys were flexible in allowing us to really make the experience our own. We still receive compliments from our guests about San Diego Wedding venues, the service and the food.

  3. My husband and I have been having lots of problems living together, he never gives me attention or makes me happy because he has fallen in love with another woman outside our marriage. I tried my best to make sure that my husband leaves this woman but the more I talk to him about it the more he makes me feel sad and unhappy, My marriage started leading to divorce because he no longer gives me attention. I wanted to forget him but i love him and didn't want to lose him. We have been married for years and he is all I could call a true best friend and best in all, the man that handles my problems perfectly, the man that makes sacrifices for ,my happiness. I wanted him back in my life badly and I was so confused. My Friends told me to buy books about relationships, so I went online for relationship books while I came across a spell caster called Dr Emu. I read testimonies and reviews about him so I contacted him immediately, explained my problems to him. Same day , he casted a spell for me and assured me for 2 days that my husband will return to me and to my greatest surprise the third day my husband came knocking on my door and begged for forgiveness. I am so happy that my love is back again and not only that, we are about to get married again, he proposed. I wouldn't stop talking about him. Contact him today if you need his help via email: and you will see that your problem will be solved without any delay. Website:
